Koncert natočil ČRo 3 Vltava.
Jako se na schodišti Zámku Troja utkávají titáni s antickými bohy a uvnitř pak říšská habsburská a polská vojska před Vídní s Turky, tak se za Ludvíka XIV. střetávala ve Versailles francouzská hudba s tou španělskou. Toto vzájemné ovlivňování pak mělo nejvyšší posvěcení, neboť král Slunce pojal za manželku Maríu Teresu, rodačku z El Escorialu v srdci Španělska. Rovněž Enrike Solinís je rodák ze Španěl, přesněji řečeno Bask z Bilbaa. Kdo jiný by tedy měl vyprávět příběh o pyrenejských rytmech ve Versailles? K ruce mu vedle barokní kytary byl také jeho soubor Euskal Barrokensemble, smysl jehož názvu lze snadno rozluštit, pokud víme, že euskal znamená „baskický“. Dantza je zase baskicky „tanec“.

On the staircase of the Troja Chateau in the outskirts of Prague, the venue of this exceptional concert, the Titans battle with Ancient gods while inside the baroque villa the imperial Habsburg and Polish armies are depicted in combat with the Turks. Versailles during the reign of Louis XIV was occupied by different clashes, like that between French and Spanish music. This mutual testing of strength and influence had the king’s blessing since the Sun King married María Teresa, originally form El Escorial in the heart of Spain. Enrike Solinís, the musical mage from Spain – or more precisely from Bilbao in the Basque country – is thus perfectly qualified to tell us about the Pyrenean rhythms in Versailles. Besides his baroque guitar, he had at hand his Euskal Barrokensemble whose exotic name of can be easily made out if we know that euskal means “Basque”. Dantza, of course, is “dance” in that ancient tongue.
