Saskia Fikentscher Baroque oboe, recorders

Saskia Fikentscher is a Baroque oboist and recorder player from Munich. She has studied, among others, with Katharina Arfken, Ku Ebbinge, Han Tol, and Pedro Memelsdorff.

For almost 30 years she has been working as a freelance Baroque oboist and recorder player with various ensembles and Baroque orchestras, such as Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin, Concerto Köln, Musica Antiqua Köln, Nova Stravaganza (Echo Klassik Award 2005), Ensemble Explorations, Norsk Barokkorkester, Berliner Barock Solisten, and Freiburger Barockorchester, performing in concerts and recordings all over the world both as orchestra member and as a soloist.

Since 2009, she has been a teacher of Baroque oboe, historical performance practice and chamber music at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater München, where she was awarded the title “Professor” in 2019.
