Los Temperamentos
Los Temperamentos, founded in 2009, focuses primarily on the music of the 17th and 18th centuries. Under the direction of the Colombian cellist and arranger Néstor Fabián Cortés Garzón, the ensemble specialises in rediscovering and revivifying the relationship between the seemingly opposed worlds of Baroque music in Latin America and Europe. With their thematically diverse programmes, the artists bring together different styles, composers, and cultures, demonstrating the liveliness and immense richness of the palette of what is nowadays called “early music”.
The ensemble has performed throughout the whole of Europe, as well as in Mexico, Chile, Peru, and Ecuador. In 2018, Los Temperamentos joined on stage the internationally renowned Baroque violinist Ryo Terakado in Bolivia.
The ensemble has released four albums, which have all received exceptional reviews. “El Galeón 1600” (2015) and “Amor y Locura” (2017) were nominated for the International Classical Music Award.
