Alessandro Tampieri Baroque violin
Born in Ravenna, Alessandro Tampieri began his musical studies in his home town, joining the Baroque orchestra Accademia Bizantina at a very young age. He collaborates with e.g. Il Giardino Armonico, L’Arpeggiata, Imaginarium and Il Suonar Parlante and regularly performs in the most prestigious European and American early music festivals.
Alessandro Tampieri has made recordings for Teldec, Decca Records, Naïve, Harmonia Mundi, Hyperion, Virgin Records and for major European and North American radio stations. His recent recording of Vivaldi’s concertos for viola d’amore and strings, with Accademia Bizantina and Ottavio Dantone (Naïve), received a very warm welcome from both specialist critics and the public.
Since 2011, he has been a concert master of Accademia Bizantina. He teaches at the Conservatorio Statale di Musica Gioachino Rossini in Pesaro. He plays a violin made in 2014 by Marco Minnozzi.
