What was the dream of a man of the first half of the 17th century, who had to face many uncertainties of life against the background of the inexorable progress of history? Peace, love, hope, salvation? However, the complicated political situation and the events of the war could not completely inhibit the intense cultural exchange and musical flowering.

It is rarely possible to hear late Renaissance dance music in such a high quality and technically sophisticated way as it is played by Capella de la Torre. Katharina Bäuml and her colleagues allow themselves to be jazz-like in their improvisations and variations without pushing the boundaries of crossover.
