From the festival programme
A JOURNEY THROUGH MANY EXOTIC LANDS
At the second concert of the 23rd volume in the Summer Refectory of the Strahov Monastery, an energetic Spanish quartet of players on various recorders called Windu will perform, accompanied by the outstanding percussionist Daniel Garay.
The programme invites the visitors on a journey through many exotic lands. The starting and key point will be Spain, from where we will then travel as far as to the New World. The musical or cultural connection between these destinations is an exemplary proof of the well-known statement that “music and, by extension, culture, know no borders”.
