Annotation
Just as dance is at the foundation of music, the beautiful dance song “La Spagna” circulates in the veins of Spanish music. Up to 250 versions of this work have been preserved, with masters such as Diego Ortiz, Heinrich Isaac or Josquin des Prés being among its admirers. The especially hot-blooded month of August is ideal for dancing! In this respect, we will be greatly assisted by the renowned Spanish ensemble Capella de Ministrers, which was founded in 1987, and has since been led, by the tireless viol player Carles Magraner. At an exclusive concert full of court and dance music, we will, in the company of Santiago de Murcia, Lucas Ruyz de Ribayaz and Gaspar Sanz, explore the rhythmical and full-bloodied renaissance and baroque of the Pyrenees. Let the summer be full of dance!
