One could ask what business the mythical lyre player Amphion and the god of wind Aeolus could have found in the middle of July at the Dobříš Castle outside Prague. As patrons of music they came to admire and guard the music of Mozart, Haydn and Rosetti. In the performance of the young Austrian ensemble pertinently called moderntimes_1800 (traverso, natural French horn, violin and cello) the music proved to be gentle and refined as well as stormy and rough. In addition to quintets, quartets and divertimenti by the above authors, the audience also heard compositions by some less known authors, such as Federico Fiorill and Johann Amon.
