Summer Refectory of Strahov Monastery
Strahovské nádvoří 1, Prague 1
On the eight night of August, the spacious Summer Refectory of the Strahov Monastery filled up to its vaulted ceiling with the mural of an international heavenly feast with festive dance music. Wrocławska Orkiestra Barokowa with its conductor Jarosław Thiel appeared in a programme consisting of baroque compositions whose common element was their Polish character and inspiration: Telemann’s Concerti, arias from Hasse’s opera Zenobia and Vivaldi’s Concerti for the Polish Prince.
